Accessibility Statement

Last updated: February 6, 2026

Our Commitment

Digital Vibes Inc. is committed to ensuring that MacroVisonomics is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and continually work to improve the accessibility of our platform.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features:

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements can be accessed using keyboard navigation. Use Tab to move forward, Shift+Tab to move backward, and Enter or Space to activate elements.

Screen Reader Support

Our website is designed to work with popular screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver. We use ARIA labels and semantic HTML to ensure content is properly announced.

Color Contrast

We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and backgrounds to ensure readability for users with visual impairments or color blindness.

Dark Mode

A dark theme is available to reduce eye strain and improve readability for users sensitive to bright screens.

Resizable Text

Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality using browser zoom controls.

Focus Indicators

Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements to help keyboard users track their position on the page.

Alternative Text

Images and charts include alternative text descriptions to convey information to users who cannot see them.

Consistent Navigation

Navigation is consistent throughout the website, making it easier for users to predict where to find information.

Chart Accessibility

We understand that data visualization can present accessibility challenges. We have implemented the following chart-specific accessibility features:
  • ARIA Roles & Labels: Charts use role="figure" with descriptive aria-label attributes that include chart type, indicator name, and data source
  • Screen Reader Summaries: Every chart includes a visually hidden data summary for screen readers, describing the chart type, indicators, countries, data range, and total data points
  • Keyboard Navigation: Chart containers are keyboard-focusable with tabIndex support, and all navigation buttons (download, expand, year selection, play/pause) have descriptive aria-label attributes
  • Live Regions: Chart data update areas use aria-live="polite" so screen readers announce when data changes
  • Decorative Elements: Watermarks and decorative SVG elements are marked with aria-hidden="true" to prevent screen reader clutter
  • Data Tables: The Data tab provides a fully accessible table view as an alternative to visual charts
  • Distinct Colors: Charts use color schemes designed for colorblind accessibility

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas are still being improved:
  • Some complex interactive charts (Sankey, Parallel Coordinates) may have limited screen reader support for individual data elements
  • Third-party embedded content may not meet all accessibility standards
We are actively working to address these limitations.

Assistive Technologies

MacroVisonomics is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
  • Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation
